This bowl is made from Butternut, (Juglans cinerea) wood, also called white walnut, and is in the same genus as black walnut. Unfortunately, only about 5% of Iowa’s butternut trees are still alive, due in large part to the butternut canker fungus. (#367) $42

This large butternut bowl came from a tree that grew on the Cedar Rapids Country Club golf course. Butternut is also called white walnut and is closely related to black walnut.
